THE SOUTHERN HIGH SCHOOL
FOR ELECTRO-MECHANICS AND AGRICULTURAL TECHNIQUES
1. Introduction
The School was established in 1969 in Vinh Phuc
province in the North of Viet Nam. It’s was known as the “Number Two
Central School for Agricultural Machinery Workers”. In 1979 it was
relocated to Can Tho province in the Mekong Delta (where it remains
today) after a government decision to hasten mechanized production in
the Delta. In 1997 it took on its present name and merged with CLRRI.
Between 1969 and 2002 some 6,684 technicians have
graduated from the School. Student intake in recent years has ranged
from 1200-1500 per annum.
